Fall, winter, and spring are the best times to garden in Central Texas. These seasons bring mild temperatures and, typically, reliable precipitation. Replacing lawns for growing food is a rapidly spreading movement in the nation   and there are new ‘victory’ or ‘prosperity’ gardens popping up everywhere.

A vegetable garden is so pleasing to the eyes! Sun shining through snap peas vining up a fence, cheerful orange     dots on a kumquat tree, or vibrant magenta veins of a chard leaf are just a few examples of the visual delights from     an edible garden.

In today’s economy, it makes sense to reap a harvest from land that already requires water and maintenance. Eating from your garden and sharing your bounty with neighbors and friends is a reward in itself…not to mention the health benefits!

We can provide design and installation of gardens, seasonal change outs and maintenance, or just provide consultation.

JBird & Company can also help you introduce chickens to your backyard. We’ll help you determine the best system for your space and can design and build the chicken coop of your dreams.
